Trump and the Republicans have a long history of suppressing the vote. They know that if elections were fair, their side wouldn’t win. Combined with the upheaval of systems that COVID-19 has wrought, we must do everything possible to ensure that those who want to vote do so, that their votes are counted, and that we return to the U.S. to a government of competence and decency that works for the people. Here are some actions you can take from home today:
ENSURE THAT YOU ARE REGISTERED TO VOTE AND THAT YOUR BALLOT IS COUNTED
Check your state’s Vote-by-Mail deadline
Check all of your state’s election rules and deadlines
Find out if you’re registered to vote
Register to vote if you haven’t done so
Check voter registration deadlines by state
Consider voting by mail and mailing or delivering your ballot ahead of the Nov. 3 election. Google “ballot drop box” and your county for info about dropping/ delivering your ballot.
